If is officially 4 days till Christmas! Christmas this the time of the year that brings me the most joy. Either baking cookies, or playing in the snow, Christmas brings a smile to everyone's face. I mean everyone. That even includes my precious cats.
One of my favorite things to do over the holiday season is to decorate the Christmas tree and my house. This past weekend, I purchased a marvelous Christmas tree to place in my living room. I gently placed and arranged each ornament that I had packed up in my attic. Once I was done, I stood proudly next to my tree. The lights hung perfectly ornaments were placed exactly where I wanted them. I was delighted by my work. At that moment, it didn't come to my attention that my felines were gazing at the colorful dazzling ornaments that was right in the reach of their paws. I walked away to begin my next Christmas task, baking cookies. I didn’t even think about the thought of my cats destroying my tree this year. I’m such a careless person. Little did I realize that my loved cats were already tangled in my Christmas lights and knocking off the ornaments. I was only five minutes into my baking when I heard the most terrifying noise. I could hear the Christmas tree slam onto the floor and claws screeching away from the living room. I burst into the living room and see my afternoon’s work completely ruined. I plopped onto the floor and had a meltdown. “Why does this always happen to me?” I screamed, but no one heard it but myself. I actually think someone did hear me, because a few moments later, my naughty felines meander out from their hiding space. With their innocent faces, I could only hold them in my arms and smile.
